Are OPS distinctions the equivalent of those offered by other photographic organizations and institutions?

In broad terms, we believe that the standards of work required to achieve our distinctions are the equivalent of those required to achieve comparable distinctions offered by other well-known photographic organizations. However, as far as we are aware, there is no formal system in place to ensure that standards in different organizations are precisely the same as those maintained by OPS. In marginal cases it is clearly possible that the same set of images might be assessed slightly differently by other organizations, and hence produce a different result.
