Three new photographic calculators have recently been added to our site. A Moon and Sun Position Calculator, which computes the azimuth and elevation of the Moon for any given time, date and location on Earth, has been introduced. This was made possible by kind permission of the original author - Jens T Satre of satellite-calculations.com.

A Moon Exposure Calculator has also been launched by kind permission of the original author - Xavier M Jubier of xjubier.free.fr/en/index_en.html. This provides an estimated shutter speed for Moon photography based on the selected ISO, aperture, weather conditions, and the location and phase of the Moon.

A second calculator for Moon photography enthusiasts, the Lunar Eclipse Shutter Speed Calculator, also by kind permission of the original author - Xavier M Jubier of xjubier.free.fr/en/index_en.html - has also been introduced. This provides an estimated shutter speed for lunar eclipse photography based on the selected ISO, aperture, angle of elevation of the Moon, altitude of the observer, and the nature of the eclipse.
