Bungee jumper

Bungee jumping is a activity that is usually photographed by someone other than the participant. Although some pictures taken by jumpers can be found, they tend to be less rewarding than those showing the person leaping in to apparent oblivion from a bridge or platform. The subject is not difficult to capture once a suitable viewpoint has been found. Bridges over rivers and canyons are ideal because they allow a photographer with a telephoto lens to set up to one side of the jumping point and capture images such as the one shown here. Jumps from cranes and other artificial platforms are less easy to photograph because a photographer is unlikely to have access to the jumping platform.
