Soft-focus filter

Soft focus filters have thousands of small and randomly-arranged minute lenses shaped like drops of water on an acrylic surface which scatter light and result in a soft-focus effect. An image with relatively clear focus but soft gradation is created. No adjustment of exposure is required.

A soft focus filter flatters a less than perfect complexion in portraiture, and can also be used to change mood. Soft focus, muted colours and reduced contrast give a feeling of tranquillity.
